Halloween: Jack O' Lantern

Halloween: Jack O' Lantern is a Halloween platformer full of candy, mummies and fireballs. Run, jump and stomp your way through 10 spooky levels with Jack, the pumpkin-headed hero.

Grab every candy you can find, then spend it on upgrades that make Jack faster, tougher and harder to stop.

A spooky night of platforming

Under a huge full moon, Jack runs across graveyards and deep into a pharaoh's tomb. Jump on mummies to squash them, double jump over wide gaps, bounce off springs and ride moving platforms. Hit blocks from below to smash bricks and fill your bag with candy, and watch out for the bricks that drop as soon as you land on them. Hold the fire button to run faster and throw fireballs at anything that gets too close. Take a hit and you lose your fireballs, so keep an eye out for the power-ups hidden in blocks: one gives your fireballs back, another restores a heart.

10 long levels

Each level is a long run with a checkpoint torch past the halfway mark, so one slip near the end doesn't send you back to the start. Mummies, beetles, vultures, rats, scorpions, carnivorous plants and giant rock golems stand between Jack and the goal. Clear a level to open the next one, and come back whenever you like to beat your best time or collect more candy.

Spend your candy

Candy is more than points. Spend it on five upgrades, each with several levels:

• Speed: run faster
• Jump: jump higher
• Fireballs: more damage, faster shots
• Extra heart: take one more hit
• Candy magnet: pull in nearby candy

Every level can be beaten without upgrades, but they make each run a little sweeter.

15 achievements and stats

From Trick or Treat! to Pumpkin King, 15 achievements reward you for clearing levels, collecting candy, stomping monsters, finishing without a scratch and more. The stats screen keeps count of every candy, stomp, fireball, jump and minute played.

Play your way

On touch screens the buttons sit in a strip below the action, so your thumbs never cover the level. Make them bigger or smaller, change their opacity or switch to a left-handed layout. Prefer a keyboard or a gamepad? Every screen, menus included, works with both. Screen shake and vibration can be turned off, and the game speaks 14 languages.
