About the game
Rap Attack! is a hip hop platformer in pixel art: grab the mic, hit the road and take your world tour from Spain to Japan while a crew of haters does everything it can to cancel the show.
It all starts one wild night, when you help a stranger get home. He turns out to be a manager with a contract in his pocket, and a couple of months later you are at the airport choosing the first country of your world tour. The bad news: the Cancel Team and its furious Beloved Leader have decided your songs must be silenced, and they will follow you from city to city.
The tour
Five countries, nine stops in each, and a big final concert waiting at the end:
- Spain: from Almeria and Granada to Barcelona and Madrid
- The USA: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Detroit, New York and more
- Mexico: from Tijuana and Guadalajara to Mexico City
- Japan: Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo, among others
- Colombia: Cali, Cartagena, Medellin, Bogota and more
That makes 45 levels in all: classic platformer stages full of enemies, tank chases where you jump from car to car through the traffic, and bonus concerts where you catch what the crowd throws at you and dodge the rest. At the end of each tour, the Beloved Leader is waiting on stage with her latest weapon: giant robots, a flying saucer and more.
On the road
Every stop has its own story. Your manager, Mauro, swears he spent twenty years in Medellin as an Olympic jumper, a basketball player, a mechanic and even a politician; you are not so sure. Between the paella in Valencia, the lights of Las Vegas and the nightlife of Osaka, the tour is never boring, and the Cancel Team is never far behind.
The fight
- Hit enemies with your microphone or throw it at them from a distance
- Double jump, dash, and stomp enemies by landing on top of them
- Fill your bar and unleash your special attack
- Face Cancel Team members, jetpack troopers, explosive robots and much more
The crew
- Unlock more than a dozen rappers, each with their own stats and bio
- Upgrade throw, punch, energy, resistance, jump and health: every upgrade helps the whole crew
- Collect gold on tour to unlock rappers, outfits and upgrades
- Sign autographs for your fans, find discs and gold discs, earn up to three stars per stage and go for 100% in every country
The music
- Dozens of rap tracks in Spanish and English, plus 8-bit chiptune remixes in the levels
- A music player at the airport to listen to the soundtrack whenever you like
